Skirmishes at the South East




the south east skirmish
06/19/1942
the japanese fleet were sighted near the island of borneo. the japanese 9th fleet is compose mostly of destroyers and cruiser, the target is probably one of the indonesian base.
the combined strikeforce of the balikpapan and burnai airforces manage to land bombs on the starboardside of the cruiser mogami, causing a slight damage and putting it in flames.
06/22/1942the japanese 6th fleet was sighted near singapore base, general percival have launch a strikeforce to sink the japanese fleet, itnis a very weak fleet, compose mostly of destroyers.
one kagero class destroyers was sunk in the air raid. by the singapore af.

the japanese 6th fleet have been decimated by the singapore af
the makasar base have sighted the japanese 2nd fleet. it is compose of 2 carriers and four battleships.
the english 17th fleet have encountered a junsen c class sub, a dept charges from one of the light cruisers manage to hit the sub and probably seriously damaaging it.

after resupplying at the townsville base, the 17th english fleet steam towards the gilbert base, a japanese junsen b class sub spotted and engage the english fleet, fortunately, a dept charge from the cruiser escort manage to sunk the japanese sub.

kinkaids 4th fleet have manage to tail the japanese 2nd fleet, after the singapore airforce sunk all the carriers of the enemy fleet, kinkaid engaged them in a skirmish that cause the enemy fleet 3 battleships.
oklahoma offer the nail on the battleships coffin, hitting every shots. but the destroyer group also did a great deal of damage that cause the sinking of the ise class battleships. the destroyer mugford was one of the ships initially sunk by the japanese battleships, the destroyer downes followed the mugford when they recieved the shells from the ise class guns. the cruiser raeigh also got a beating before sinking. the 4th fleet destroyers manage to send several torpedoes that hit the japanese battleships causing them to sink or sustain serious damage, specifically the fuso class that manage to escape. it was the battle ship under the fuso class that sunk the destroyer cushing and helm.

the 3rd japanese fleet no longer have any flag carrier after the sinking of the huge carrier zuikaku, the singapore airforce made sure that the japanese would no longer have any capacity to conduct a sea borne air raids with the sinking of its last known super carrier.

the japanese fleet is sighted near the singapore base, the singapore af have conducted a raid, sinking a myoko class cruiser, a nagara light cruiser and 2 kamikaze destroyer
both balikpapan and palembang af have conducted an airstrike to the japanese 9th fleet and manage to do slight damage to the cruiser of mogami class
it was the squadron of the 13th fleet airforce that did a huge damage to the japanese 9th fleet, sinking 2 cruisers.

the japanese 10th fleet have attacked the singapore base, compose only of a kamikaze type destroyer they manage to land a faction of the 8th japanese marines.
07/10/1942
the 9th fleet is also spotted between java and borneo island, the combined strikeforce from balikpapan, burnai, makasar conducted and palembang, sinking the cruiser mogami and damaging the other cruiser.
the japanese 12th fleet also was attacked by the veteran airforce from singapore, they manage to sink a myoko class cruiser and two kagero class destroyers.

the japanese 8th marines was driven out of singapore base.

the japanese is trying to invade singapore via land, they have already overwhelmed the english post of kotabaru...
the us combined carfrier strikeforce compose of the us 3rd, 5th and 13th fleet have sent a squadron of dive bombers to harass the invading japanese.
the bombing have cause the invading forces a huge loss, they will be wiped out the moment they reach the singapore base.

the japanese 1st fleet have been spotted by turner's 5th fleet, due to the rain, they were not able to send bomber squadron to the enemy fleet, fearing that what they saw is the dreadnought yamato, turner decided to engage the enemy fleet. hoping they could cripple or damage it enough to be able to prevent it from shelling the singapore base. led by the cruiser vincennes, the cruiser rain fire to the carriers immediately sinking them
then the destroyers engage the enemy destroyers and sunk one yugomo class destroyer. the yamato suffer several hit on its starboardsides before it retreated, but not until it shell manage to hit the cruiser chicaco and sink it at the coast of the malay peninsula.
